Creature — Elemental2 generic manaGreen manaGreen mana

A green elemental with a death trigger that runs backward: where most graveyard-relevant creatures feed a yard, this one empties it. When it dies, every creature card in your own graveyard goes back into your library, and the design from an era still discovering what dying could mean is precise about one detail: the dying creature exiles itself first, so it is removed from the equation and explicitly excluded from the reshuffle. A 4/3 for four was an aggressive body in its day, and the relevant text only fires once that body is gone, which makes the whole proposition a delayed reload rather than a tempo play. The catch is who it points at. It touches only your graveyard, so it does nothing to an opponent leaning on reanimation or mill; the effect aims inward, recycling your dead creatures back into the deck rather than denying anyone else's fuel. That makes it less a hate piece than a deckbuilding contract: you accept a creature toolbox that keeps refilling itself at the cost of a creature you have to let die first, and you lose access to the body that triggered it. The character of the card lives in that inward-facing logic, a self-recursion engine wearing the silhouette of graveyard disruption, built before the mechanics around the graveyard had settled into the shapes players now recognize.
