Sorcery4 generic manaBlack mana

Reanimation that hedges its own risk. Most black recursion spells hand back a creature and stop there; this one bundles the fetch with a token that is worth keeping regardless of what came out of the graveyard. The Pilot is built to matter in a board full of Mounts and Vehicles: its saddle and crew arithmetic runs two points hotter than its 1/1 body suggests, so it can activate machinery it has no business piloting on paper. That second clause is the tell about the card's intended home. Straight reanimator wants the fattest legal target and treats the extra body as noise; a deck built around Vehicles and Mounts wants both halves, using the return to rebuild a lost engine piece and the token to keep the rest of the fleet moving. The result is a recursion spell that reads as generic but is quietly narrow, more useful to a deck that traffics in crew costs than to one just chasing the largest thing in the yard. It sits in the small family of black returns that care what shape the returned permanent is: a Vehicle is a valid target here in a way it would not be for most reanimation, and the token exists precisely because that opens the door to bringing back a machine that cannot swing until something climbs aboard.
