Aven Skirmisher
The white one-drop flyer in its plainest possible form: a 1/1 with flying and no other text, the kind of body designers reach for when a common slot needs cheap evasive filler and nothing more. It exists to fill out the low end of a small-creatures aggressive curve and to carry a buff or a piece of equipment into the air, where even a single point of unblocked damage compounds across a few attacks. The Bird Warrior typing is the only hook of any consequence, planting a foot in two tribal camps without asking the card to commit to either. There is no balancing act to speak of, because there is nothing to balance: the rate is exactly the value, a French vanilla flyer wearing a creature type, the sort of design that does honest work when a set's aggressive shell wants bodies and quietly falls off the moment stronger one-drops are available.
