Aurelia, Exemplar of Justice
The third Aurelia is the coordinator. Where earlier bearers of the name were haymaker angels built to swing hard and often, this one is a 2/5 whose job is to run a wide team rather than win alone. The two abilities pull in the same direction. Mentor still demands that she attack (she has to be in combat to fire), and each swing plants a permanent +1/+1 counter on a smaller attacking creature, so she grows the board turn over turn instead of front-loading her own threat. The beginning-of-combat trigger is the flexible half: +2/+0 to one creature you control, with the keyword grant splitting along guild lines, trample if it is red and vigilance if it is white. That split is the design tell. It rewards a genuinely Boros board rather than a mono-red or mono-white one, and it can point at Aurelia herself: choose her before attacks are declared and she becomes a 4/5 flyer with vigilance and trample, a real closer that stays untapped to threaten the crackback. So she is not a passive captain and not a pure lord; she is both, a creature that improves the rest of the team while remaining a credible attacker in her own right. The earlier Aurelias hit the hardest thing in sight. This one decides who gets bigger, then joins the swing.
