The engine that runs itself, packaged into a two-drop. Explore has mostly lived on creatures as a self-contained enters-the-battlefield trigger: reveal, grow or dig, done. What this design does is close the loop so the same body both feeds and fires it. The 2/2 makes a Food when it enters and again on every attack, and the Brand-new Sky ability turns each of those tokens into an explore the moment it is sacrificed, which means the card manufactures its own fuel and then converts that fuel into either a land pulled to hand or a +1/+1 counter that makes the next swing larger. The design tension is that Food normally wants to sit on the battlefield and gain life; here it is reframed as ammunition, rewarding you for cashing it in immediately rather than hoarding it. Clues fold into the same trigger, so a Clue-cracking subtheme built around sacrificing tokens for value slots in with no extra text. What keeps it from spiraling is the sacrifice requirement itself: you explore only as fast as you can generate and consume tokens, and each explore is a coin flip between a counter and card selection rather than a guaranteed advance. The elegance is in the wiring. Food (an artifact subtype), explore (a keyword action), and the flavor-worded sacrifice trigger are not three abilities bolted together but a single feedback circuit that grows a threat and smooths draws off one clock.
