cast sets X to five and pulls back anything up through mana value five. The trigger fires the instant the body enters either way; the choice is not whether to reanimate but how much reach you buy when you commit. White has long been the primary home for artifact and enchantment recovery, from Replenish to Open the Vaults, but those spells return everything indiscriminately or ask for a graveyard already loaded with cheap permanents. What separates this is the surgery: a single targeted object, priced by your own aggression, stapled to a 5/4 flier that pressures the board on its own. The warp cost is a genuine fork rather than a strict discount. Pay the cheap price and the trigger whiffs unless your yard is stocked with small permanents; pay full and you are spending five mana to recover one thing plus a flying body. It is an unusual instance of an entry effect that scales with the caster's own tempo decision, so every deployment weighs the speed of the cheaper cast against the ceiling of the full one.
