Aspiring Aeronaut
Four mana buys two flying bodies here, split into a 1/2 Artificer and a 1/1 Thopter, and the split is the entire design. Two power and three toughness spread across two evasive creatures means the card trades up against single-target removal: kill the Aeronaut and the Thopter still flies, and a sweeper that catches only one of them leaves the other intact. That redundancy is what the printing is paying for. It also sits squarely on the artifact-matters axis blue shares with white, where the free Thopter token does triple duty: it adds to any count of artifacts, feeds a Thopter-aggregating engine, or hands a sacrifice deck a body to throw away the turn it lands. As a standalone creature it is plain, a 1/2 flyer that brings a smaller friend. Inside a deck that counts artifacts or counts small flyers, the second body stops being incidental and becomes the reason to run the card at all.
