Armory of Iroas

Most Equipment subtracts from the attack you were already making: you spend to suit up a creature, then spend again to keep it suited, all to buy a bigger body that resets to nothing the moment the gear moves. This one inverts the cost structure by paying you for the thing you wanted to do anyway. Attach it, swing, and a counter arrives on attack declaration: no connect required, blocked or unblocked, chump or not. The growth banks into +1/+1 counters rather than the equipment's static buff, which is the wrinkle worth naming: when you re-equip to a fresh body, the accrued counters stay behind on the old one. A single Armory of Iroas can therefore leave a trail of progressively swollen attackers across a board, each keeping the size it earned. Timing is generous where most Equipment is stingy. Equip is sorcery-speed, but that only means you attach before combat on your own turn, so a creature suited up the same turn you cast this still triggers the counter that combat. It contributes nothing on defense, which is the honest limit: the ability keys on your attack step and nowhere else. That makes it patient power for a deck already committed to turning creatures sideways every turn, a flat two-mana artifact asking for no build-around beyond the willingness to keep attacking, and compounding its return the longer you do.
