Argothian Enchantress
The 0/1 body is a misdirection: this creature never blocks, never attacks, and was never meant to. It exists to convert your enchantments into cards, one draw per cast, and the trigger keys on casting rather than resolution, so even a countered enchantment has already paid its dividend by the time it goes on the stack. What lifts the effect from cute to oppressive is shroud. A draw engine that opponents can answer with a removal spell is a tempo question; a draw engine they cannot target at all forces them to find a board wipe or simply win before the cards bury them. That single keyword is the line between a fragile value creature and the foundation of an archetype, and it is why Enchantress strategies have been built around this card and its functional descendants for decades. Stack two copies, or pair it with Enchantress's Presence, and a turn full of cheap auras and globals refills your hand faster than you can empty it. The design has aged into a template: every later printing that draws on enchantment casting is measured against this one, and most are deliberately easier to kill, because Wizards learned precisely how much an untouchable draw engine asks of an opponent.
