White's color identity has long leaned on this kind of reactive value over raw card draw, and recurring its own broken permanents from the graveyard is squarely in that lane. The single-mana cost is the discipline: it stays a strict one-for-one, so it rewards a deck stocked with high-value targets worth digging for instead of a pile of replaceable trinkets. It does nothing the turn your graveyard is empty, which keeps it a mid-to-late-game tool rather than an early play, and that dead-early window is the price of the flexible reach everywhere else.
