Strip the word "Snow" off the type line and this is an ordinary green-white tapland: it produces the Selesnya pair, enters tapped, and charges the same tempo tax every two-color tapland has charged for fixing. The supertype is what gives it a second life. Because spells and abilities that count mana sources by supertype rather than color read this as a snow permanent, the land feeds a parallel deckbuilding axis where snow is itself a resource. That dual identity was the entire pitch behind the cycle: pay the standard tapland cost up front, get colored fixing and a snow-counting source in a single slot, without either coming at a discount. Outside a deck built around snow, the supertype is free upside that never makes the land worse; inside one, it does work the colored mana cannot, converting a fixing slot into something that also powers snow-matters effects. Coming in tapped is what funds that flexibility, ensuring the snow reward never arrives for nothing. This is fixing built around a narrow but recurring question: how do you hand a two-color deck access to its colors and to snow-counting in the same land, without letting either come cheap.
