Black's expensive finishers have long faced the same design problem: how do you make an eight-drop worth the wait without stapling on protection that reads as unfair? The answer here is a body that flies over most stalls and a trigger that swings the game by six points of resource parity the moment the attack is declared, no combat damage required. Because it triggers on attack rather than on connecting, even a chump block or a wall does nothing to stop the bleed; it only slows the beats.
