Copy effects usually key off spell categories (instants, sorceries) or off targeting; this one keys off creature-type identity instead, doubling any Faerie or Wizard permanent spell you cast. That narrows the trigger to a tribe rather than a spell class, but it widens the payoff: the copy is a full token duplicate, so you bank a second enters-the-battlefield trigger on everything from a value Faerie to a build-around Wizard, and the doubling costs nothing on top of the mana you were already spending. The design elegance is that the trigger does not care what the spell does. It copies the whole permanent (stats, text, everything), which turns two tribes that historically leaned on evasive tempo and spell-matters synergy into a single go-wide engine. The ward is doing real load-bearing work here: the entire board plan is downstream of one 4/4 flier, so the tax asks an opponent to overpay to break the engine while the body keeps flying in on its own. It reads as a late entry in a long line of attempts to reward players for casting the Faerie and Wizard creatures themselves rather than the noncreature spells that usually surround them. Where earlier tribal payoffs pushed anthem effects or card draw, this one answers the question with raw duplication, making each relevant cast a two-for-one at the point of resolution.
