The 5/2 body is the joke and the point: a wall built backwards. Defender ties all five of that power to the ground, where it does nothing, while reach turns an unremarkable stat line into a deterrent against the one attacker green most wants to answer. The usual green air-stoppers in this range lean on bulk, a 0/4 or a 1/5, trading toughness for the staying power to brick a flier turn after turn and survive. This one inverts the priorities. With only two toughness it is not built to live through an air assault; it is priced to make the first swing expensive. A 3/3 or 4/4 evasive attacker kills it, but it kills that flier right back, and against a small flier with one power or less it survives the block outright. Defense reframed as a one-for-one, cheap enough that the swing into it usually costs the attacker more than it costs you. Where the classic green wall asks "can you get through me," the Archer asks "is your flier worth more than four mana," and for a sizeable dragon or a hard-won evasive threat the answer is often no. The body's high power is a tax on attacking, not a promise of survival.
