A 5/4 flyer for four mana is a fine body, but the body is the bribe, not the point. The real text lives in the draft itself: keep this face up and you surrender your sight, drafting three cards blind before you earn the right to read packs again. That is a designed cost paid in a currency no battlefield card can charge, namely the information advantage that draft is built on. The wager is whether a premium evasive threat is worth three picks of pure noise, and the answer shifts with the table, the format speed, and how badly you need a closer. What makes this design notable is that it relocates the card's drawback entirely out of the game and into the act of acquisition: nothing about the demon misbehaves once it hits the battlefield, where it is simply an efficient flying beater. The handful of cards built on this principle (effects that reach back and rewrite the drafting procedure itself) form a tiny, strange corner of the design canon, possible only in a draft-matters product where the pack is part of the game state. Strip away that machinery and you are left with a plain evasive body; the rules text that defines it cannot function anywhere a draft is not happening, which is exactly why it is the most interesting thing about the card.
