Eight mana for a lifegain spell whose payoff scales with how badly the game has gone for you: the deeper your graveyard, the bigger the swing. That scaling is the tell that this was built for one kind of deck, the grinding white control shell that fills its graveyard with dead creatures, spent removal, and used card draw, then converts that pile back into a wall of life when the race tightens. The shuffle-back clause is doing double duty. It pads the payoff and, by folding your own graveyard back into the library, it functions as a genuine reload against decks trying to mill you out. But it also resets your graveyard to zero, so this is a one-shot button rather than a recurring engine: you cash in the pile once, not turn after turn. The constraint that defines it is the sorcery-speed eight-mana price. You cannot hold it up as a response to a lethal swing; you have to untap with the mana available and spend a whole turn on a spell that changes nothing on the board. That makes it a stabilizer for a deck already committed to going long, not a card that rescues a losing tempo game. It sits in the lineage of top-heavy white lifegain finishers that ask you to survive into the late game first, then reward you for having survived.
