Arcbound Worker
The cheapest entry point into the entire Arcbound family, and the one that makes the whole archetype tick. Modular turns death into accumulation: when a body falls, its counters jump to the next artifact creature, so nothing the deck builds ever quite goes to waste. This Construct is the smallest possible expression of that idea, a one-drop whose only job is to ferry a single counter into the engine. Its printed 0/0, propped up by the lone counter it enters with, means it cannot survive losing that counter; the card is built to die into something bigger, not to hold a board. That self-immolating logic is what made the Arcbound line a sacrifice engine rather than a row of fragile bodies. Feed it to a Disciple of the Vault, an Arcbound Ravager, or a recursion loop, and the worker's counter is a unit of value that outlives its host. The flavor sits flush with the mechanic: a literal worker drone, expendable by design, whose contribution survives it. Most modular creatures carry more counters or a body worth keeping around; this one carries the minimum, which is exactly the use case it fills, the cheapest possible artifact to throw onto the pile and the cheapest possible counter to redistribute.
