The life-total reset is the rare symmetrical effect built to break symmetry in the caster's favor. Everyone snaps to the highest life total at the table, which sounds like charity until you ask who chose to cast it: the player who built around being behind, or the player holding a way to convert a sudden swing of life into damage. A burned-down opponent at four walking back up to your forty is the obvious read, and it is the wrong way to use the card. The sharper play is to weaponize the equalization, pairing it with effects that punish high life totals or drain the gap straight back down, so the reset reads as a setup rather than a peace treaty. The 5/5 vigilant body is incidental cleanup once the political work is done. What sharpens the trigger is that it lives on a creature: the reset fires the moment the Giant enters, so you choose the turn, set up the punisher first, and spring the equalization as the payoff rather than the opening move. The trigger is mandatory and one-shot, demanding the conversion already be loaded; there is no holding the leveled board hostage afterward. One concealed lever, pulled exactly once, and the entire question is whether you had something pointed at the lifegain before you committed the creature.
