Ant-Man's Air Force

Creature — Insect1 generic manaBlue mana

A 2/1 flier for two mana is stock blue evasion, the kind of body every era has printed and moved past. What earns this one a second look is the attack trigger's timing. The -1/-0 fires when the creature swings, not on cast or on entry, so the debuff lands during the combat step, before blocks are declared. That window is the point: shave a point off a would-be blocker's power to flip a trade in your favor, or soften a defender ahead of the wider team assault. Making the rider optional keeps it costless on turns when nothing is worth weakening, so the trigger never forces a target it doesn't want. The effect is small, but it recurs. Attack turn after turn and the same evasive body keeps arriving at combat while dragging an opponent's board down a point at a time, tilting races and blunting the incremental grind of small-creature decks. This is the modest end of blue's tempo tradition: not a bomb, but a repeating nudge that pays out only when you commit to the attack, and pays out every time you do.
