Angel of Flight Alabaster
Built as the payoff at the top of a Spirit-tribal curve, this Angel reads the graveyard as a resource rather than the battlefield. The upkeep trigger fires before you draw, so each turn opens with a free Spirit recursion: a flying chump that traded last combat, a one-drop hatebear ready to redeploy, a death-trigger body you want to die again. The constraint that keeps the engine fair is the subtype lock and the cadence: only Spirits, only one per turn, only during your own upkeep, where a triggered ability resolves on the stack with no chance to chain it into a main-phase combo. It cannot grind back a general toolbox the way a broader reanimator would, so what it offers instead is refusal to run out of gas: a deck of small white flyers where every Spirit that dies is one you will see again, while the 4/4 flying body keeps the clock honest as the value accrues. That pairing is the whole point, because a recursion engine bolted to a creature that does nothing in the air is a liability, while one strapped to an evasive midrange threat closes games on the same axis the rest of the deck attacks on. The design sits in a specific corner of white's recursion lineage: not the Reveillark-style burst that snaps back two bodies at once, but the slow, inevitable trickle that wins attrition wars by outlasting the opponent's removal.
