Ancestral Blade

Artifact — Equipment1 generic manaWhite mana

Equipment's oldest structural awkwardness is that a sword is inert until you own a body to hold it: land it on an empty board and it just sits there, a promise waiting on future creatures and vulnerable to a wrath before it ever swings. This design answers that by shipping with its own bearer. The token walks in already carrying the blade, so what resolves is a finished 2/2 threat rather than a piece of setup, and the classic sequencing trap (the sword stranded against removal or a board wipe) never opens on the first turn of its life. The tradeoff is deliberately small: a modest +1/+1, a cheap equip cost, and a payoff that only compounds if you have later bodies to move it onto. Lose the token and the blade persists, waiting for the next creature; get wrathed and you have committed less than a full creature's worth of mana. It runs on the same durability logic behind Bonesplitter or Skullclamp, where the Equipment outlives whatever wore it, but the guaranteed body on entry means it never lands as a dead card. A humble rate, and a clean structural fix for a decades-old friction in how Equipment enters the battlefield.
