Anarchy

Sorcery2 generic manaRed manaRed mana

Color-hosing in its most uncompromising form: no clause spares your own white permanents, no scaling to the board, no proportionality. It is a global wipe with a color filter, deleting every white card on the battlefield (white enchantments and artifacts included) and walking away. The era that produced it leaned on this template as a balancing lever: if a color got too strong, the answer was an off-color line that punished any heavy commitment to it. The tension lives entirely in deckbuilding, not in casting. To run it you accept a sorcery that draws blank against an opponent who is not playing white, dead the moment your read is wrong, which is precisely the discipline that made these effects fair: the reward for guessing right was the opponent's whole board, the cost of guessing wrong was a wasted card. Later color hate almost entirely abandoned this shape in favor of conditional, modal, or asymmetric answers that hurt only the target. The unbounded "destroy all permanents of a color" line belongs to a moment when hosing was meant to feel like a wall rather than a tax: brutal enough to swing a matchup outright, useless enough everywhere else to keep it honest.
