Anaba Ancestor

Creature — Minotaur Spirit1 generic manaRed mana

Once it has shaken off summoning sickness, the most this 1/1 can do is tap to hand one other Minotaur a single +1/+1 until end of turn. That is the whole engine, and it is the wrong shape for a creature-type payoff. The appeal of a tribal anthem is the static, board-wide buff: every other Minotaur grows just for sharing the table. This version pumps once per turn, can never buff itself, and offers nothing the moment it gets tapped down or the combat step passes. The "until end of turn" clause is the design tell: a combat trick stapled to a fragile body, not a standing threat that grows a clan. Minotaurs were one of the home tribes of its set, and this is an early, pre-keyword attempt at tribal reward that ignores the lord template Goblin King and its kin had already standardized. The activated, single-target, temporary structure is what dates it: later Minotaur support treated the type as a real archetype, while this is closer to a proof of concept. It captures tribal design before the mechanics calcified, when "matters to a creature type" could mean a slow, fragile, opt-in pump rather than the free static buff the lord template now takes for granted.
