An Unexpected Party // At the Door
The Adventure structure here is doing something subtler than the usual spell-then-creature two-for-one: it front-loads the tokens and back-loads the payoff. At the Door builds a board of X 2/2 Dwarves for scaling mana, then tucks the enchantment into exile for a later turn when you can name Dwarf and hand every one of them +2/+2. That sequencing is the whole design. Most anthem enchantments punish you for casting them into an empty board; this one lets you assemble the army first and choose the tribe after you've seen the board state, which means the type you name can respond to what you actually drew rather than what you hoped to. The tokens are red, incidentally, so the card is quietly building toward a Boros or Naya shell even though both halves are printed in white. The +2/+2 is not locked to Dwarves either: the enchantment reads any creature type on entry, so the sorcery half is a starter kit and the anthem is a general-purpose lord for whatever tribe your deck is actually built around. What balances the split is the tax of casting twice and the delay between halves; you pay full freight for the tokens now and full freight for the anthem later, once it's waiting in exile. The reward for that patience is flexibility no single-card anthem offers: a board and a scalable buff that reads the game before it commits.
