The +3/+0 is the polite half of the text; the real payload is "is every creature type," a clause that turns the equipped body into a walking wildcard for typal effects. That is the joke and the design purpose at once. On its face this is a modest weapon: a small power boost bolted to a middling equip cost, the kind of gear that fills out a slot without asking anyone to think hard. But the typal rider drags it into stranger company. An equipped creature counts as a Human and a Zombie and a Dragon and an Assembly-Worker simultaneously, so it answers to every lord you control, satisfies any "creatures of the chosen type" clause you name, and slips past effects that hinge on a creature not being some type. It never had to be strong; it only had to be universal, and "every creature type" is about as universal as a rules clause gets. What keeps it honest is the shape of the attachment: the equip cost is paid at sorcery speed, on your own turn, in advance, so the typal identity is a commitment you make before combat rather than a surprise you spring during it. You are declaring a creature to be everything, then swinging, not converting it mid-block. A curiosity by rate, a Rosetta Stone by wording, and one that rewards the player who already had a tribe waiting for a body to plug into.
