Suspend, the mechanic that turned time counters into a delayed payoff engine, was always a template designed for cards to bring themselves onto the battlefield on a timer. This turns that machinery inside out: instead of casting your own spell with suspend printed on it, you feed cards from hand into a suspension chamber of your own making, timing their arrival to their mana value. The wrinkle that makes it hum is the last clause. Every activation ticks a counter off everything else you own in exile, so the engine compounds: the more you commit to it, the faster the whole backlog accelerates toward release. A card put under three counters does not sit idle for three of your turns; each subsequent activation shaves time off it, collapsing the queue. The design tension is real and paid honestly: you draw before you exile, so you are never emptying your hand blindly, but the free cast is deferred, and a slow board can punish the gap between commitment and payoff. The haste rider on creature spells is the tell for how the whole thing is meant to resolve, dumping a suspended threat straight into combat the turn its counters expire. Green-blue value engines usually promise cards; this one promises casts, and structures an entire deck around when they land rather than whether they do.
