A support piece dressed as a lord, and the distinction is the whole design. Most anthem effects pump a board at once and evaporate the moment the source dies; this one works one counter at a time, moving permanent buffs onto every other Hero while passing over its own body each activation. Because the counters are permanent, they stack across turns and outlast Coulson himself: kill him with spot removal and the sizes he already distributed stay put. That resilience runs one direction only. The counters live on the creatures that received them, so a true board wipe still clears the whole team, buffs and all. What the design buys is durability against targeted answers, not against a Wrath. The tap ability comes with vigilance, and that matters more than it looks: the 2/2 can swing and stay untapped to distribute counters, so the untap requirement never forces a choice between attacking and building, and the buffs can wait for combat to land where they do the most work. Its limits sit in the body and the board dependency. It stays a fragile 2/2 that never grows itself, leaning entirely on vigilance to justify entering combat, and the engine does nothing without other Heroes to receive counters. Alone, it taps for a whiff; surrounded, it compounds. The payoff scales with how deep the Hero count runs, not with how large any single creature grows, which makes it a slow grind rather than a burst.
