Aetherspouts
A board sweeper costs you nothing but mana and answers everything; this answers only what swings, and it does it without ever filling a graveyard. Each attacker goes back into its owner's library rather than to the yard, which means no death triggers, no graveyard fuel handed to the opponent, and the indestructible threat you have been chump-blocking all game vanishes as cleanly as a token. The owner-choice clause is where the cruelty lives. Each owner decides top or bottom for their own creatures, but neither option is good for the attacker. Bottoming the team buries those creatures under the whole library; topping them turns the next several draw steps into recasts of cards already paid for, locking the aggressor out of fresh gas while they rebuild a board that just got reset. Either way the alpha strike is dead air, the attack step wasted, and the tempo swing belongs to whoever sat back with five mana open. That is the design: it punishes the all-in commitment specifically, the turn an aggressive deck empties its hand into the red zone, and it rewards the patience to hold instant-speed mana for that moment. The cost is symmetrical to that strength. It does nothing to a static board; you have to be attacked to fire it, which is exactly the conditional, reactive blowout that defines blue's relationship with combat math.
