Adelbert Steiner
A body that scales with your armory, priced like a bear. The base 2/1 lifelink is the floor, and every Equipment on the battlefield lifts both numbers together: not just the swords and shields strapped to Steiner himself, but any Equipment you control, whether it is attached, sitting unattached, or bolted to a different creature. That distinction is the whole design. Most Equipment payoffs reward the act of suiting up one carrier; this one rewards owning a pile of gear, which turns durdly artifact clutter into raw stats and makes the lifelink meaningful rather than incidental. It rewrites the usual math of an Equipment shell, where you fret over how many hammers a single creature can carry and whether the mana is there to move them; here the equip step is optional, the anthem is automatic, and losing the creature in combat costs you a threat but never the board of artifacts feeding it. The knight flavor and lifelink point at a white aggro-into-attrition plan, but the ceiling lives in decks that treat Equipment as a subtheme unto itself, where a modest count already makes this a beater that gains a fistful of life on every connection.
