Enters-the-battlefield triggers have always been an engine an opponent builds and you watch from across the table. This flips the ownership: when a creature under someone else's control lands with a trigger attached, that value is now yours to copy, redirected wherever you want it. Every fetch-a-land, every draw-a-card, every ping-a-creature ETB an opponent resolves becomes a second copy for you, and because you may choose new targets, a removal trigger aimed at your board can be turned back on theirs. Flash is what makes this reactive in the way the design wants: you hold the mana, let an opponent commit a creature spell to the stack, then drop this in response so it is already on the battlefield when that creature arrives and its trigger goes on the stack for you to copy. It is an ambush, not a permanent you telegraph a turn early. Ward taxes the cheap answer that would otherwise strip the engine before it copies a single trigger, protecting the investment through a full turn cycle of opposing removal. The payoff scales with the table's greed rather than your own, an unusual axis for a blue creature: dead when nobody plays creatures, oppressive in a room full of value engines. Its balance is pure passivity. It cannot generate its own triggers to feed on; it is a reactive parasite living on other people's plans, and against a board of vanilla beaters it is a 2/3 with a keyword nobody notices.
