Aang's Journey
Rampant Growth stripped to its skeleton and handed a life-gain rider: fetch a basic to hand instead of the battlefield, and skim two life off the top. That baseline is intentionally modest, because the kicker is where the card is actually pointed. Pay the extra two and the second half of the search unlocks a Shrine, tutoring a specific enchantment type to hand rather than just fixing colors. That is the tell about what this Lesson is built to feed: a Shrine deck, where finding the right enchantment at the right time is the whole engine, and where a spell that both smooths your mana and assembles a piece of the payoff is worth more than its rate suggests. The Lesson typing is the other axis worth naming; it means this can be fetched from outside the deck rather than drawn, so the tutoring effect can be summoned on demand by whatever mechanic reaches into a Lesson pool. Unkicked, it is fixing with a small cushion. Kicked, it is a two-for-one that quietly advances a tribal-enchantment plan while keeping your life total pointed the right way. The colorless cost is what makes the whole thing portable: no color commitment on the front end, so any deck that wants land smoothing can run it, and only the Shrine payoff asks you to have built toward the ceiling.
