Because copies count and the output is colorless on demand, the artifact quietly finances the next link in a storm-adjacent sequence without asking for any color commitment, effectively lending a spell's worth of energy from a burst turn to a lean one. The counter reservoir is what separates it from most magecraft payoffs, which spend their trigger the moment it happens; this one banks throughput, so a turn that chains three cheap spells stockpiles fuel for a turn that draws only lands. A modest engine by rate, but one with a memory: it rewards a deck that produces spell velocity in bursts rather than a steady drip, and it punishes nothing except the impatience of emptying the reservoir before the counters are worth spending.
