A-Cosmos Elixir
A four-mana colorless value engine that refuses to just hand you cards: it runs on a threshold check against your starting life total, and which side of that line you sit on decides whether it draws or heals. Below the line it patches you up, gaining 2 and scrying to smooth the next draw; above it, the whole thing becomes a repeatable draw motor. That single conditional is what keeps the rate honest, since you cannot simply plunk it down and start pulling cards; you have to climb above your starting total first, which turns the artifact into a reason to run the same lifegain shells that already want a payoff. This Alchemy revision keeps the original's conditional structure intact and adds a small kindness to the losing side: the earlier version simply gained 2 life below the line, while this one folds a scry 1 into the same mode, so even when you are behind the artifact is helping you find the swing that flips it. Because the check resolves at the beginning of your end step, the card also asks you to sequence your life swings before that window closes, rewarding a board state that has already tipped rather than one still fighting to. It is a compact study in making a single card do two jobs on either side of a trigger, where the buff sharpens the enabler mode without touching the payoff.
